Rahul Mehrotra, the founder and principal architect at RMA architects, showcases three projects at the Venice Biennale 2018 which revolve around the idea of ‘Soft Thresholds’. Via his work he highlights how buildings can have an inclusive character which he believes should be the purpose of good architecture.

The Venice Biennale, an international architecture exhibition, is a showcase of work by leading architects and designers from across the world. 

It is a platform where invited architects express their creativity and share ideas around a provocation or theme. With a different theme announced for each Biennale, the exhibition this year revolves around the theme ‘Free Space’. The word describes a generosity of spirit and a sense of humanity which is at the core of the work on display.

The Biennale Architettura 2018 is a public event where examples, proposals and elements of work that exemplify essential qualities of architecture, revealing their power and beauty are showcased to visitors. The 16th International Architecture Exhibition, runs from May 26th to November 25th 2018 in different venues in Venice.
