Lead designer, Dipen Gada and his team beautifully incorporate the client\\\\\\\'s idea of sophistication and simplicity with varied combinations of rich materials and minimalist form. With the use of rich veneer and Italian marble, the designer achieved the desired effect. Moreover, the use of marble and various hues of wood veneers add to the continuity of design and proved to be the unifying element throughout the interiors. Gada has carefully selected white upholstered furniture for the living area to give the space a serene look. One arresting factor about Gada\\\\\\\'s design is the finesse with which he has integrated all the important elements of the house, satisfied the clients\\\\\\\' desires and left his mark on the design.
Situated in the prime location of Baroda, the penthouse of Mr. Manish Patel is no less than a villa. An art piece in itself, the penthouse comprises 7,000 sq ft on two floors and an additional 3,500 sq ft of terrace garden. The main door with patina finish brass plate and sheesam wooden battens running across the door hints at the details and customisation that the project explores inside. A step forward into the house and the mystery unfolds as the expansive layout of the house reveals itself. There is a marvellous sculpture that welcomes you into the classic double height living room. This dramatic sculpture from Ashit Das’ Parchaai series makes an eloquent statement with a vertical glass alongside depicting a female figure. The huge living space with burnt granite wall suspends intriguing art on it. The nine ceramic pieces by Vinod Daroz adds a touch of elegance to the perfect backdrop of the wall. As we step closer into the living room, a well-articulated staircase manifests with a bare concrete wall that forms the backdrop for the splendid human figures that are seen as if climbing up the wall. These intriguing human figures are carved out of fibre and seem to scale the wall that signify the upward journey as conceptualised by Dipen Gada himself. The ground floor encompasses the dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms and exclusive pooja area. The staircase leads up to a wide passage that becomes the perfect display of the spectacular paintings by Arunanshu Chowdhury. There are lavish bedrooms attached with large dressing and toilet areas, each with a distinct identity of its own. It also encloses the home theatre and meditation area, occupying a total of 3500 sq ft area. At the terrace level, the lounge area opens up to a lush green garden with a water body, rendering the perfect ambience for leisure. The entire garden is in white and green tones with nice sit-out and swings. The open-to-sky area houses a white gazebo at the centre.The DGA office reflects the core team\\\'s evolving sensibility for minimal, chic but modern interiors that are Indian at heart though speaking an international language in terms of enhanced efficiency, green building practices combined seamlessly with contemporary looks. The reigning principle for designing in an Indian context held Dipen Gada & Associates in good stead as their office project in Vadodra emphasises the necessity for achieving a \\\'timelessness of design\\\' in order for a design to remain forever unaffected by rapidly changing trends. Aiming at integrating maximum efficiency of space with minimum energy consumption in a truly green workplace, the Dipen Gada and his team effectively manages to convert what was initially a 3-bedroom apartment into an open plan designer office. As Dipen loves to say, \\\'less is more\\\' - and his new office design echoes the quote in glowing form - it seems chic basics is the trend to watch out for when classic minimalism in an Indian context is discussed in the future.
