A simple white minimalistic house designed as an empty canvas through white walls, floor and ceiling wherein the splatter of colors through a collage of furniture.
'The Company of design' is a multifaceted design firm initiated in 2015 by Architect Niel Parekh and Pooja Parekh with the belief that designing should not be confined to any one dimension whether it concerns architecture, residential interiors, retail space designing, graphics or Urban design. Interaction with a space should be the basis of a design. The idea is to use the tangible elements to create a design which would bring out the intangibles like emotion in the end user of the space.
The Client, a businessman who travels extensively for work and loves it, wanted a ‘simple, white minimalistic house’.
The architects created an empty canvas through white walls, floor and ceiling wherein the splatter of colors through a collage of furniture created a dynamic painting. They believe in an architectural practice, where it is not the style of an architect that becomes pivot for a design but the context that forges a design.
They believe that perception of a space changes in reference to the objects present in it, so spatially, they went with the idea of open planning, where the movement from one space to another is seamless.
To achieve cohesiveness in totality, a triangular geometry has been taken as a module, which grows according to the scale of the furniture. The Furniture does not match with each other, which opens a window for the travelling couple to add colorful memories into the home, wherein any new addition would only enhance the feel of the space.
