Husna Rahaman of Fulcrum Designs creates a home interior in Bangalore for a NRI couple with an infusion of different styles Husna Rahaman of Bangalore based design firm Fulcrum Designs was approached by her clients, a NRI couple to re-design their home in Bangalore. The couple, who spend a few months in the year in their India home, wanted the ‘flavour of the space to be a fusion of New York City and the Leela Palace hotel (Bangalore’s plush hotel). Husna’s remodelling began with the exterior of the house where she added a structural feature to set the mood of things to come within. A large wall, independent of the house was added and tied structurally to a perpendicular wall by large span frame.
