Kunal Barve deciphers the challenges of a city residence, and envelops it with eclectic translations of an intriguing urbane interface. His firm, Interface, was gauging to look past details - to envision a stronger definition and optimise the utilisation of this space that overlooked the gargantuan sea. Fazed by cramped room sizes, the instant requisite was to make the rooms spacious, as they needed to accommodate a walk-in wardrobe. The solution that unravelled was to utilise the void duct zones within the home and to efficiently replenish them into spaces ranging from a powder room to the puja area. Beyond the tedious structural work is the eclectic mix of elements that weave a warm and yet chic contemporary feel into this home.
