A two bedroom apartment gets a completely new look and a material makeover by interior designer Tejal Mathur. Tejal’s first priority was to make the house seem more spacious, so walls were broken and areas reconfigured to incorporate an open kitchen and a study-cum family room that was visually connected with the main living area, making the space more fluid. The second was to get rid of the existing vitrified flooring that she felt had no character and replace it with Kotah stone - which she felt could impart a sophisticated, yet trendy feel to the space.
