The IIA Award 2003 for architectural design is a bungalow in Aundh (near Pune), that showcases the successful application of diverse materials to create unifying contemporary living spaces with kaleidoscopic interventions that bring you close to nature. Situated on a uni-level corner plot facing East and North, this bungalow is designed and built by Mumbai based architect Seema Puri Mullan. Seamlessly unifying the beatific outdoors with the living spaces within, the plan epitomises the client’s wish to have a home where he could feel the space flowing around him with minimum walls and large volumes and above all as per the principles of Vaastu.
