The feel of abundance of space and minimalistic construction was the main approach for designing this home in Vadodra.
An interesting play of light and shadow, colour and texture are created in different manner in the whole pent house. A humble play of arranging translucent partitions was done in a way that it gives the feeling of a single unit with private expanses. It was designed as an extension of overlapping straight and perpendicular grid. A concept of vastness is created in a way that one forgets the line of inside and outside conveniently. Maximum openings are given for abundant natural lights and wind to come inside. The gazebo is designed along the concept of contrasting shades of light and dark thus defining the space.
A modern look with minimalistic approach was concluded from the client’s demand. The concept of clean lines and simple form of design was derived by abstraction of elements, clean chick textures, bold use of colours with ambient and accent lights.
A house doesn’t become home until the resident gets a sensorial and spatial experience. The concept of outdoor partially and spending quality time in that unified atmosphere was envisaged such that all these spaces were visually connected. Visual connections between spaces were archived by the translucent materials used in partitions.
The dual pleasure of typical homely atmosphere and party house is achieved by blending it into the living area and bed room space. Richness and love for art is displayed through use of art work and colour palette chosen. A cheerful ambiance in the attached terrace is created by the play of modern earthy colours, water body and metal structure gazebo giving a majestic effect with light and shadow. Certain spaces like family space and dining area combines and gives a unified feel while in panels the area are conveniently blended with doors by having same material and giving a feel of one whole unit.
