The owner’s sizeable collection of art and artefacts forms the focal point in a luxurious three-floor apartment, designed by ZZ Architects. The concept of the house is more requirement-based. Going by the brief given by the client, it had to be grand in scale, but with understated luxury that does not scream for attention. Since the owners are collectors, the home, with its white walls, forms a perfect backdrop to display their vast collection of art and artefacts. Spread over three floors, connected by an internal elevator and a wooden staircase, the apartment is purposefully divided into public (the living room and lounge) and personal spaces (the bedroom, terrace and Jacuzzi zone). Space planning has always been one of Zubin Zainuddin and Krupa Zubin’s strong points. A fusion of styles and a blend of interior finishes and textures all add to an apartment that is high on design and luxury.
