Kunal Barve, a young and talented architect, makes a style statement with a pocket-sized apartment in Mumbai. The architect and his team under the name of Interface Architects have made optimum use of the available space (a mere 350 sq. ft.) to incorporate an eclectic mix of retro and avant-garde sans any kitsch elements. Apart from the usual living and sleeping quarters with comfortable seating and lots of storage, the home was to have a moderately spacious toilet and bath area. Compact and chic, the simple grid holds a hint of the exceptional with the introduction of the round door, a visibly angular wall and the striking colour palette.
