A minimalistic, simple, earthy and tasteful pattern has been created for this Tardeo home.

Minnie Bhatt with her design team have obliged to the client’s need for this contemporary home in Tardeo, Mumbai. They have used a lot of wood in and around the space to retain the warmth harmoniously. The colour shades used are neutral tones with accents of deep blues and reds. They have used textured paint on the walls in ivory neutral shade, to complement the wooden tones of the interiors.

The bathrooms are made in earthen shaded Italian marble with grooves and the use of mirror to make the space look bigger. Grey granite has been used in the entrance area which was backlit to highlight. The library area has wooden shelves, sofas made up of rexine and coffee tables that appear like old vintage suitcase trunks. Besides, the stone wall on one side and the complementing wallpaper on the other add more charm to this home.

The dining table made up of marble retains the richness of the space. Moreover, wooden rafters are used in the ceiling. Mustard yellow textured paint on the wall gives the space an additional edge. The concept was to keep the entire house very simple and minimal but not atypical, considering the contemporary taste of the client. In the balcony area more pop and fun was added to make it a place where the residents would sit and relax.
