Cement textured walls, concrete lights, teak wood panelling, art-work by Indian contemporary artists like Siva Balan, M Rama Suresh, Amit Bhar and Anjali Sapra make Apartment 302 special.
Once past the doorway, you step into a linear corridor that gives you a clear view of a puja room at the other end. The corridor ceiling is clad in wood with subtle cove lighting.
To the right of the puja room is the living room. In keeping with the Indian contemporary look, an earthy colour palette has been maintained with beige sofas and a deep armchair set against wooden doors.
Separating the living and the dining room is the puja room at the end of the entrance corridor. These double doors are done up with laser cut lotus motifs. The glass panels on the sides and above the door bring in some natural light.
The U-shaped kitchen is done up with a shade of white, which is broken aesthetically by a yellow wall adjoining a low seating area that has been incorporated into the kitchen. The backrest of the kitchen seat forms the beginning of a breakfast counter with seating placed in the dining room.
The dining room houses a table for six with enough space to hold a larger party. The common element of a wood panel runs just above the table and has suspended concrete dome lights with gold leaf imprints from The Wabi Sabi series, adding warmth to the space. The art wall gives the space that touch of elegance.
The king sized bed in the master bedroom incorporates a storage alcove in the head board. The entertainment wall is clad in wood with a mounted TV and ample space to store books, curios and an expansive charging point. The low profile bedside tables hold free standing lamps for those late night reading sessions. A sliding door in-built wardrobe is done up in white lacquered glass.
The study room has been designed to be an unconventional yet cosy space. A vintage world map finds itself placed on the ceiling. A wooden bookcase runs the length of a wall.
