While designing the Raheja Ridgewood show flat, Mumbai-based GA design relied on the combined elegance of white, glass, and mirror surfaces. Strategic pops of orange add fun to the spaces.

This 3,600 sq. ft. 3BHK premium show flat and sales office space was designed for Raheja Universal Ltd. at Ridgewood Towers located at Goregaon, Mumbai, adjacent to the busy Western Express Highway.

The colour palette used for the design is essentially white-and-grey, with orange used as a colour pop.

Luxurious Satuario tiles have been used throughout the apartment. The monotony of stark white walls is interrupted at the entrance, where the study room is separated from the living room with the use of a clear glass wall.

A huge sofa in white leather is complemented by orange suede dining chairs and an orange sofa in the study.

An interesting furniture piece here is the dining console which has a lining of orange suede on the inside. A shimmery brown wallpaper panel is flanked by floor-to-ceiling mirror on either side of the dining wall. Rich Cianti marble has been used for the TV panel and it doubles up as the backdrop for the study table in the study room. Mirror cladding below and above the TV panel gives it an almost floating effect.

The kitchen design is anything but conventional. The usual dado tiles have been replaced by orange back-painted glass. This perfectly offsets the grey granite counter-top and overhead cabinets done up in white PU. Frosted glass shutters in aluminium profile with subtle lights inside are the visual mainstays of this bright, fun kitchen.

The second bedroom next to the kitchen is simple yet sophisticated. Adding charm to the soft brown leather bed and surrounding panel is a shimmering, orange dotted wallpaper on the opposite wall. Wardrobes finished in soft white PU and neutral-toned sheer curtains make this room look spacious. A large dressing mirror rests on the low TV unit and a huge mirror wall above the bed completes the look.

In the master bedroom, the large double-bed clad in matte brown leather and designer brown-orange satin bedcovers create a rather enigmatic look. Two self-lit boxes as side-tables and a full glass seamless wardrobe are the most striking elements in this room.

A dramatic white leather-tiled wall behind the bed forms the perfect backdrop to the large bed. The entrance wall of the bedroom is clad in mirror on both sides, adding a new dimension to the room. A soft-brown, back-painted glass wall houses a cleverly camouflaged door that leads to the bathroom.

The master bathroom has largely been done up in white marble-print tiles, while the common bathroom is grey. In contrast, the study bathroom is a sprightly yellow.
