Shabnam Gupta, founder of The Orange Lane, transforms the dreary confines of a service-oriented product industry into an upbeat corporate setup by casting it in pure white. The office in suburban Mumbai is spread across three adjacent industrial galas with a maze of cabins and different levels connecting each other. The designers had to tear down the old connections and redesign the space. The constraint of the existing maze of cabins and work places has been effectively transformed into an opportunity by conceptualising the corporate scenario as a new outfit. A minimum-fuss selection of vitrified tiles, soundproof glass partitions, modular furniture, LED lighting and air conditioning ducts, have been used to package the project in a practicable and charming manner.
