Located in Gurgaon the building shell for the DSC corporate office was imagined as an exaggerated experience that went beyond normal sensibilities for visitors. The Archohm design team mixed ‘intimidation’ with a sense of ‘inquisitiveness’- a process that included long dark passages with a constant flow of exhibits and initiation. To present the hierarchical structure of the company, a two-dimensional and flat look was aimed at. This was achieved by the extensive use of glass and subtle layout positions which gave the building a sense of existing in layers - though its perception remained that of an equal and a democratic environment. A sophisticated two-tone ambience for the two top floors, done in black/white and beige/brown combinations extend a sense of formality to the spaces befitting the top brass of the company. To capture the sense of vibrancy and transparency that lies at the heart of the work culture at DSC, open-plan layouts teamed with exclusive, insulated management floors catering to every conceivable need of a top corporate office environment without sidelining design aesthetics formed the basis of the entire interior design project.
