Architects Rishita Das and Rushda Hakim have designed the ‘House of Wow’ in an amazing French style that accentuates the true essence of art fused with architecture.

Designed by Rishita Das and Rushda Hakim, principal architects of Design Office in a basement in Bandra, the ‘House of Wow’ has adopted a delicate French village theme with a melange of quirky knick-knacks in conjunction with thematically planned interiors, creating a spatial experience.

The entrance has a vintage look and the white wrought iron door has white name plates. The foyer has a ceiling illumination spelling out “HOW”. The astounding features include soft colour palette, curvy furniture, unique décor elements, the studio wall treated like a house façade with a French arched door, two vintage windows, flower baskets, hardwood flooring, mirrors and a fireplace housing the audio-visual equipment. The fabric lining the wall ensures sound insulation and absorption.

The favourite space of the architects is around the washroom which has a pedestal vintage basin, floral wallpapers and white surfaces merging into a beautiful backdrop for the cut glass chandelier.

The main cabin is an epitome of French design. With flowery wallpaper and antiquated furniture and suspended brass lamps. The quirky accessories like the brass bracket light, the old typewriter used as a pamphlet holder, the ‘tin peti’ as a centre piece and the bird cage lights lining the studio wall add to the splendour of the House.
