ZZ Architects’ design style can be termed a bit off-centre, relying more on angular planes rather than linear lines. Their new office expectedly follows this trend of non-conformist direction. Located in a leafy bylane in Chembur, just off the chaotic main road, the office is almost like a sanctuary once you have walked in through its large, red safety door. Outside is a quiet little sit-out, which works as a small lunch area for the staff and changes into a design discussion area in the evenings. It is like an urban garden, with very hard but right landscaping. The reception area of the office echoes the last office the ZZ team worked in, which also won them the IIID Best Office Design award.
