With the advent of unisex salons and emphasis on styling, Sanctuary‘s response to a brief to create an unisex salon in Bengaluru was more than just about satisfying the clients functional needs. The young entrepreneurs of Bounce wanted Sanctuary to create an environment that would project their philosophy; trendy, unorthodox, unafraid, and confident. So, Anshul Chodha and his team took one step further and created a style lounge and redefined the way salon space is perceived. They took a sensual, fresh approach where the colour scheme played a major role. They did away with the traditional norm of mirrors running along walls for cutting bays and created an open plan where floating cutting bays, hair wash bays and a nail bar coexist adding to the buzzing vibe. The idea was also to use various layers of reflection and transparency within the wellness space; hence they went with a white background with a burst of shampoo green. An interesting open plan with trendy furniture, eye catching displays and funky lighting exemplify the salon and Sanctuary’s resolve to turn it into a style salon with spunk.
